Mahalia Jackson, hosted by “Lady of 106” and New Orleans Native, Rocsi Diaz and comedian Bill Bellamy. Rocsi Diaz, a native of New Orleans expressed to us in an interview on the red carpet that she was so proud to be in her city tonight and there was no place like home. For the last 26 years, The Super Bowl Soulful Celebration has shined the light on exceptional NFL players and given them the recognition that is well deserved, on and off the field. This year’s honorees include the New Orleans Saints' Cam Jordan; the Los Angeles Rams’ Jared Verse and Cobie Durant; the Washington Commanders’ Jayden Daniels; and NFL Hall of Famer and recipient of the Lifetime of Inspiration Award, Michael Strahan. New Orleans on superstar, Big Freeda also expressed how honored and happy she was to be a part of the Super Bowl Soulful Celebration and how proud she was of her city, New Orleans. Grammy Award-winning Gospel singer Yolanda Adams also graced the Red Carpet and then blessed us with her beautiful voice on stage. As many feel the welcoming presence of the city of New Orleans natives want the world to know New Orleans is built to host, and it's what they do best!!!!!
The 26th Annual Super Bowl Soulful Celebration premieres in primetime on FOX this Saturday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT. Following the premiere, the special will also be available on demand via FS1, FOX Sports, FOX Soul and Tubi.
